Give Me some space food

Give Me some space food🚀
-------------------------------------------------------------

Hey everyone, Yesterday we ate astronaut food!!!

Well we ate Dehydrated fruit but thats still astronaut  food.  The Fruit we dehydrated was Oranges, Strawberrys, Bananas, Apples & Kiwi Fruit.

This is  Me eating a dehydrated Orange
         My favourite was the
Kiwi Fruit & Apple.
I liked them because the apple tasted like if apple juice was a solide and I liked the crispy ness of it, And I liked the Kiwi Fruit because it was chewy and sweet.

And my lest favourite was
The Orange, Strawberry & Banana.
I didn't like the Orange because it was dry and sandy.  I didn't like the Strawberry because it tasted burnt & I didn't like the Banana because it was rubbery and tasted like vomiet.

A splash of sun shine

A splash of sun shine🌻

---------------------------

Hey Everyone it's Rae here and today

in class we made sun splash art!

This is my groups sun.

you will need: paint, glad wrap, Paper & paper plate.
----------------------
How to make it.
--------------------
Cover your plate in paint.  Cut a piece of glad wrap to the size of the plate and put the glad wrap on the plate.  Swirl the paint around under the glad wrap.  When you are satisfied with the effect , coulor and are happy with you paint and think that it looks like the
sun remove the glad wrap.  And take your plate and your piece of paper.  Tip the plate upside down so that the paint is face down on the paper.  Apply presure to the plate then remove the plate from the paper. Take your finger and on the outter edges of the paint make lines through the paint.

I hope you guys enjoyed my post

and if you make the sun splater at home or school.

I hope you have just as much fun as I did.

Harakeke Weaving

Harakeke Weaving

----------------------------------------------------------

Hey everyone, it's Rae.

Today we had Whaea Michelle come in and do some Flax weaving with us!  Very few New Zealanders would fail to recognise Flax,it is one of our most distinctive native plants. It is used for weaving.  Back in the day The Maori people used it to make ropes, nets and sometimes even wepons!  We weaved them to look like flowers.💮                                   This is My peice of Harakeke I weaved.

Fun Fact:  Did you know Harakeke is the
Maori name for Flax?
This is my peice of Harakeke I weaved.

Mothers day gift

Hey everyone it's Rae, hope you all had a good school holidays!
Anyway, Next weekend is Mothers Day.
So in class Mrs Lyford prepared a dough and we got to chose to any greenstone shape to make out of the dough.
The one's below are the two I made.

                                                     Ingrediants: Salt, Flour & Water.
How we made them: So we put all the ingreants in a bolw and mixed until it becomes a play dough like consistensy.
Then you find the pictuer you want and make a replica out of the dough.
I'll update you next week when they have been painted.

Share the road with big trucks

Safety Man

Hi Everyone today Me and my class went inside a huge truck.  In the truck, we were given a lot of information about staying safe near big trucks. And now I'm here to tell you about truck safety and how to keep you safe.  And others as well.  Anyway, I'm not talking about any old rules I'm talking about, How to safely pass a truck.                  Here are some friendly tips and advice for passing safely.

Before starting to pass a truck, think twice! You need a lot of space to pass safely.  Behind every bend, there could be another car or truck.

  •  Don't pass until you can clearly see enough straight & clear lane to pass through.
  • Because of their heavy load, it takes time for them to slow down or stop.
  • Trucks have a lot of mirrors and full beam, lights can temporarily blind other drivers.
