Food For Though

Food For Thought 🍎


For the past week we have had Jesica come in from the food for thought program to teach us about healthy eating.  And today we went to the supmarket and investigated how much sugar is really in our food.

It was a bit like a scavanger hunt.  We were given a sheet and in our groups we were each given a supermarket work sheet.  We had to find 2 healthy and non healthy Breakfast Ceareals, Breads, Muslie Bars, Snack Foods(Crackers, Chips & Biscuts) and Milk and Dairy Products(Chesse, Icecream, Yougurt & Flouvered Milk)


The things we had to look at on the nutrition area were, The Name of product, Energy,  Fat total, Sugar, Dietary Fibre and Sodium(Salt).
